Sweet Yoga Studio

Constructed with straw bales, the Sweet Yoga Studio provides relaxing and enlightening experiences for those who practice yoga within its walls.  With the goals of our clients at the forefront of the design, we created a simple, rich space that allows people to relieve their stress through the use of Svaroopa® style yoga.

Using a post and beam structure combined with the insulating value of straw bales, we worked with the clients to reduce the environmental impact of the structure to the bare minimum.  By using rapidly renewable resources (straw) rather than other more energy intensive materials while simultaneously reducing the volume of lumber required to build the structure (and repurposing an existing out building) we not only put less of a demand on our natural resources, but we also used what was already there.
